Don't cancel your Christmas plans! I feel very strongly that enough is enough, we need to learn to live with 'the virus' now and I am becoming increasingly concerned about the effect on mental wellbeing and the implications for our long term health. The news this last week has really upset and disturbed me. I just feel it is never-ending! Back to my Christmas gift ideas - I am still very keen to do conscious gifting and I love giving an experience rather than too much 'stuff' that will ultimately end up in landfill. This year I have finally invested in reusable Christmas Crackers! I met Caroline from Sew Caroline at a Christmas Shopping event and I have purchased a set of six fabric crackers that I can add my own gifts to. I can use them year after year and they will look amazing on my table. I am planning to fill mine with some beautiful, natural bath bombs from Vari Cosmetics. Some of my gift ideas were previously gifted to me (and are marked *) I've been lucky enough to have worked with lots of amazing brands this year, some small, some new, many of them women, and most of them with inspiring stories. So for my Christmas Gift Ideas this year I am sharing my favourites ... Red t-shirt bra and smoothease briefs from *Fantasie (linked below). Gifts for the girls ...Lingerie - first from *Nudea, I am sure any woman would love one of their sets, practical but pretty, not overly padded or too sexy, just gorgeous feel good and comfortable underwear! And another lovely brand I shared with you recently was *Y.O.U Underwear, which would be especially lovely for teen daughters! Sustainable, comfortable, organic cotton! Fantasie have also just sent me the *Ann-Marie Moulded T-Shirt Bra in Red to try, along with their *Smoothease Briefs which are very soft, smoothing and pretty! This makes a lovely set especially if you are not keen on too much lace and want a bigger brief for no VPL! The smoothease comes in a standard brief and a full brief and they are all one size - which really does work! Leather boots - another fabulous gift, beautiful leather boots are always a treat, get ideas and inspiration by reading tips on best boots for women. Skincare - if you are not sure what to choose but would like to support the smaller 'under-the-radar' (mostly) British brands then how about looking at *A Beautiful Life, they only stock the 'bestsellers' - the hero products from the smaller, start-up brands that we often miss. They encourage their brands to focus on sustainable packaging and cruelty free products and love to support certified vegan and hypo-allergenic products - but most importantly, they need to be good! And if you place an order with them over £100 then you will get a complimentary Christmas gift - a gorgeous makeup bag containing a selection of full size and trial size products worth over £150! But be quick, only available while stocks last. Take a look at my Instagram Stories to see what is included! Dermaworks have a really lovely choice of skincare products at reasonable prices and you can get 10% off their full range using my code FIFTYFAB, I really rate their products! I am planning to include some items in with my gifts to the girls in my family! I think my sisters would love the *Spectaculash Eyelash Growth Serum. Nip+Fab sent me a selection of their skincare products to try recently, you may have seen me share the details on my insta-stories. In particular I loved the Nourishing SPF30 Moisturiser - I have spoken before on the blog about the importance of wearing SPF every single day, summer and winter! Scarves - the stunning silk scarf I am wearing above is the Wildscape design from *Ruby Kite Art & Scarves. Joy and Tamara create treasured, timeless pieces that prioritise longevity over fast fashion; original art scarves that stand-out in a world of mass production. A perfect gift! Knitwear - I am wearing (below) two new jumpers both from Sezane, which offer the most gorgeous colours and styles, a French brand, ideal for channelling your inner Parisian! Add one to your wish list. And if you fancy learning more about what colours and styles suit you, then a consultation Personsal Stylist and Image Consultant Anita Feron Clark, is a must have! Pyjamas - I bought a beautiful cotton robe from Cabbage London when I was at the Spirit of Christmas at Olympia! See photo above! Canvas photo prints - why not celebrate your memories of special times spent together and order a canvas print directly to your door? Makeup - I am loving *Code Beautiful, I have tried their Mascara, their Eyeshadow Primer - both are fabulous multi-tasking products. I also love their new products, the Code HTG Hydrate Tint Go for Lips and Cheeks and their Code LIP Lip Intense Plumper! Use my discount code (fifty) to get 15% off! Jewellery - my gorgeous skirt is the Carnaby Mini from Saint and Sofia and my pretty necklace is from *CARAT London, it is the Emilie Pear Borderset Pendant Necklace and I love how elegant and sparkly it is! Perfect for adding some Christmas glamour to a simple outfit and a fabulous gift, add some pear drop earrings too! Unisex gift ideas ...Massage - how about a gift voucher for a massage at *The Massage Company, this no-frills approach will suit both men and women, and a regular massage is not only an amazing treat, it is also good for both our mental and physical health. Wearable calm - another appreciated wellbeing gift might be something from the luxury brand *Material Alchemy. They have combined ground-breaking technology to design a range of products to reduce stress levels, assist with sleep patterns and enhance the overall sense of wellbeing. They sent me the Just Sleep Pillowcase and a T-Shirt to try. They are amazing quality, and make a lovely gift for someone who needs a little extra TLC! Get 10% off using. code fiftyandfab. Socks - a Christmas essential don't you think? If you don't get socks under the Christmas tree every year then the disappointment is real! But this year why not try something a little different - *Socks-in-a-Box offer sock subscriptions as well as one-off purchases and they are made from sustainable bamboo, are incredibly soft, and comes in a fabulous selection of colours and designs. And for every order they receive, the donate a pair of socks to a homeless charity! Books - Morse, Lewis, Endeavour and Oxford | A Guide Celebrating 35 Years on Screen, my sister is an Oxford City Tour Guide (also a fabulous gift - a walking tour of Oxford) and she has contributed to this book! So if you have a Morse fan in your family, this might be a good one! Gifts for the boys ...Men's fragrances and grooming - I love the range from *Thomas Clipper, founded in London in 2014, Thomas Clipper is an independent business dedicated to making modern colognes for men. They offer a sought after range of handmade eau de toilettes and select bathroom essentials, as well as a line of handmade luxury leather accessories. And another mention for A Beautiful Life - they also have men's gift sets and fragrances (you can get your free gift too if you spend over a £100 on the man in your life)! Man bag - I have been looking at a new man bag for my dad and I was very impressed with the super slim, lightweight designs at Marks & Spencer and John Lewis this year. Not on the High Street - is my go to destination for some male inspiration! I love the leather bracelets, this one with the Infinity Love symbol is perfect for a special man or how about a personalised bookmark or a snuggle blanket?! Making memories ...But sometimes my favourite gifts are those where we make memories and do things together as a couple as a family or with my girlfriends! I bought tickets for Pretty Woman for my daughter in 2019 but we only made it in October - thanks Covid! How about vouchers for one of the more 'special' cinema experiences like Everyman Cinema or The Cinema at Selfridges? My Christmas Gift Guide for 2020 included a lot of 'experience' ideas, do take a look! Happy shopping! Love from Michelle xx Disclaimer: some of the products included on this gift guide have been sent to me, but I am only sharing things I love!
