This is such a common dilemma and a question I see time and time again on Facebook groups and Instagram - why am I not losing weight - I am being so good, what is going on? So when I saw my friend Bev, a certified health coach, nutritionist and behaviour change coach, had written about weight loss on her page I asked her if I could share her tips on my blog as her advice is so simple and so honest.
And a note about my own ongoing journey. I did The SSS Plan from The Body Coach, stuck to it and lost the weight I had slowly allowed to creep on. Being small it isn't much but I felt much fitter and much better. I then had a few hormonal issues (understatement there - full on perimenopause) anyway mostly now I concentre on calories in (what I eat) and calories out (how much I move - I try to do two weight bearing workouts a week) and having educated myself over the last few years this works. See what Bev has to say - simple habit changes really are the best approach. There is a growing demand for a much more eco-friendly approach to fashion and what we are buying, whether it be buying less, shopping our wardrobes or choosing nearly new. So it is good to hear about brands that are offering an ethical approach. And Asquith London are one of those brands, they have created a stylish collection of the very best in sustainable activewear.
When I was asked again if I would like to choose some items to try out from the new AW/19 range from Asquith I couldn't resist the splash of colour from their new teal shade. Teal is a colour that suits everyone but is often overlooked. It didn't disappoint when it arrived, perfect for autumn and perfect to inspire me back into the gym but what I really love about Asquith is that everything is so soft, it is perfect for relaxing in at home - or as seen here, walking my dogs! Let me take your through their ethical and sustainable credentials as well as tell you about this lovely outfit. I'm back! I took a little break from my blog and stepped back a bit from social media too, I needed to focus my time on supporting my daughter as she prepared to leave home to go to Norland College in Bath to study for an Early Years Degree and the Norland Diploma. We had a lot of fun in the few weeks leading up to her departing, we visited her student house in Bath, we did a big trip to Ikea to find lots of lovely items to make her room feel comfortable and cosy, a home from home, we had lunch at The Coach in Marlow and we slowed down and enjoyed just being at home.
