It's time for my monthly round-up again! Being fifty and fab is my monthly post where I share what I have been doing to 'be' fabulous - lots of fashion for us over 50 women, style ideas and inspiration. I'd love you to get involved on Instagram too!
What do you do to be fabulous? Have you worn a fabulous outfit? Tag me! Have you been exercising regularly and really pleased with your progress? Tag me! Have you had a super fun day out? Tag me!
All you have to do is use the hashtag #beingfiftyandfab on Instagram and tag me @fifty_andfab so I see your post and then at the end of every month I will do a round-up of the best ones on stories or on my main Instagram grid. You can get involved at any time, there is no specific day, it can be any day when you did something to feel and be fabulous.
And this is what I have been doing to be fifty and fab in October ...
My son Alex was born the night the clocks changed in October 1997. I went into labour in the early hours of the morning on his due date. When we left for the hospital there was a really heavy frost, we couldn't find the car keys and I travelled there in the van, with my midwife following. It turned into a glorious autumn day though and I remember looking out the window from the labour room and commenting on how wonderful it all was - pain killers and an epidural talking. And today it is his 21st birthday and I can't believe how fast time has flown by,
I 'met' Kate on Instagram soon after I started blogging, Her stylish ladies scarves and pretty grid caught my eye, we share a love of scarves and we are both scarf addicts! Kate's first business is online scarf and accessories store Sweet Bea and if you are a regular visitor to my blog then you know that I feature Sweet Bea a lot in my posts, Kate has called me her 'best customer' on many occasions! If I need a scarf for an outfit my first stop is always to see what Sweet Bea has. She also has some great choices for presents for birthdays or Christmas. And she has a lot of leopard print right now because it is so on-trend - like this blue leopard print scarf you can see Kate wearing below.
An anti ageing facial and skin care with Crystal Clear COMCIT at Sunrise Health & Beauty Salon in Marlow
Let's be honest, we'd all like to know how to look younger without resulting to extreme beauty treatments like botox etc. I know I am keen to find the best skin care for anti-ageing, improve my lines and wrinkles and generally do the best I can to take care of myself and my skin.
So when Dawn who owns Sunrise Health & Beauty Salon in Marlow asked me if I'd like to try one of their anti-ageing treatments and blog about my experience and results, I was immediately excited and keen to accept.
