This summer was our first trip to Asia and Sri Lanka and there was a lot I wish I had known before we went, this post is a little summary of things to know if you are planning a trip to Sri Lanka.

I'm a bit late with my planning this year. I think I spent so much of July and August saying 'let's do that in September or let's get together in September' that I have found myself ridiculously busy! Did you see my previous post about my week of networking and my week of outfits? Anyway, lets get onto the matter in hand. I love to reorganise myself in September and October, I still feel like it is my new year despite not being so governed my school terms now, I love autumn and after the summer holidays and summer months, I enjoy the feeling of 'back to school' goal setting.
Hi, how are you all? Thank you so much to those of you who voted for me in the Brilliance in Blogging Awards run by BritMums recently, voting has now closed and I will find out the results on 12th October during a twitter party - yep I had never heard of it either but I have now! It is a chat that anyone can join in using a pre-advised hashtag, but 12th October will be my first one so I will let you know if I manage to work it out.
But more exciting news - I then had an email from Asquith (see my review of their ethical activewear here) who run their own blogger awards - Asquith Adores Blogger Awards - and I have been nominated in their Best Over 40s Blogger category. I am pretty stunned and obviously very excited. I am nominated alongside bloggers that I consider to be 'big' and who I really admire and who inspired me to start blogging! I'd love it if you could vote for me - it is really easy to do so on this link - vote here - thank you so much! ![]() After a break for the summer holidays my Embracing Life (in Midlife) interview series is back - and with the gorgeous Chloe Leibowitz - Inspiring Women. Chloe is a good friend and I have known her for probably ten years now - eighteen months ago she set up her inspirational life coaching business. She really is one of those women who I genuinely admire, as well as being a seriously lovely person, she is totally amazing, I really don;t know how she does it all - so I asked her, she definitely inspires me so if you need a little dose of inspiration today then read on and find out more about Chloe, her life and her business. And she is offering readers of Fifty & Fab a discount on her coaching packages - further details are at the end of this post. |
