Hi everyone!  How did half term go?  Or have most of my readers left school holidays behind?  My daughter finishes sixth form this summer so although she is now independent we still enjoy time together at half term and school holidays.  This week we treated ourselves to some mother and daughter time at Nirvana Spa near Wokingham.

I met Wendy last year through the Business Girls Network and popped into her beautiful home based shop - The Wendy House - to take a proper look around!  Wendy is one of the loveliest, chattiest and friendliest ladies you could meet, she is bubbly and enthusiastic and clearly loves what she is doing.  She also has a sharp creative eye for choosing items for her shop and presenting them all in the large bright room she has above her garage at her home on the outskirts of Maidenhead in Berkshire.

I of course came away with a few purchases!  And then went back for a few more bits for Christmas gifts and then ordered one or two more things which Wendy posted to me!  Like the pretty and bright coloured Powder gloves in the photo below.

Wendy is proof of the importance of embracing life in midlife and that it is possible to change careers and do something different, something you love, that it is never too late.

Three years ago I wrote my first blog post with little plan of where I was heading or any real idea of how to blog!!  But here I am three years later, still blogging, still learning and most importantly still enjoying it.

So I thought for my anniversary post I'd share some facts about me you might not know:

I have been admiring camel coats forever!  But I wanted a good quality one and they just always seemed to be out of my price range.  In the end I threw caution to the wind, stopped buying other bits and pieces I didn't really need and treated myself to this Jaeger Boyfriend Coat in Camel and at £320 it was a huge investment purchase.  But along with my Louis Vuitton handbag, my better jeans and my cashmere knitwear I felt it was worth it.
