There is a growing demand for a much more eco-friendly approach to fashion and what we are buying, whether it be buying less, shopping our wardrobes or choosing nearly new. So it is good to hear about brands that are offering an ethical approach. And Asquith London are one of those brands, they have created a stylish collection of the very best in sustainable activewear. When I was asked again if I would like to choose some items to try out from the new AW/19 range from Asquith I couldn't resist the splash of colour from their new teal shade. Teal is a colour that suits everyone but is often overlooked. It didn't disappoint when it arrived, perfect for autumn and perfect to inspire me back into the gym but what I really love about Asquith is that everything is so soft, it is perfect for relaxing in at home - or as seen here, walking my dogs! Let me take your through their ethical and sustainable credentials as well as tell you about this lovely outfit. I decided to stick with my favoured black leggings on this occasion, I have tried a pattern and a different colour in the past, but I will be honest, I still think that black are the most flattering and the most versatile. The pair I chose this time are the Move It Leggings in Black, they are also available in navy, grey and teal. I always look for a legging style with a deep waistband to 'hold me in' and flatter across the tummy. These are perfect, they are so super soft, and the seam detail really does give your bottom a lovely shape. They are made from bamboo and organic cotton with elastane added. They are breathable, responsibly made and sustainable. Now my favourite here item, this is the Conquer Cami in Teal and I love the strap detail at the back, it has a built in medium support bra and it is longer in the body to ensure it stays in place and it shows when layering another top over it. And this is Katy my older Westie, she loves being picked up for cuddle! My top layer is the Goddess Tee in Deep Grey, this is a relaxed fit, lightweight, ideal for layering and throwing on over the conquer cami. And it skims our curves rather than clinging to them. It is 95% bamboo and 5% elastane. I love the Asquith brand of sustainable activewear and everything they stand for. They are really championing a sustainable and ethical approach and their designs are super flattering, comfortable and stylish, You can read more about their mission here. Their designs are are classic and flattering and I love that they are multi-functional, you can wear them for yoga, pilates, working out, or just relaxing in and they will still look fabulous in the town or around the shops. Or if someone knocks at the front door! They use the best quality, eco-friendly fabrics which are soft and wash well but have very limited impact on our environment. All their collections are manufactured in a GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified factory in Southern Turkey. The factory was founded in 1997 by a Turkish businesswoman and they adhere to strict working times and have fantastic staff benefits and care. Do take a look around their website, there is so much information about their ethical approach and of course spend some time browsing their collections. My two westies don't quite get this modelling thing! Bonnie on the left, Katy on the right! If you sign up for their newsletter you can get 15% off your first order. Take a look at their website here. How is everyone's September so far? I seem to be madly busy and trying to catch up, I have so much I want to share on the blog and some lovely gifts from brands to tell you about. I'm delighted to report that the second week at uni has gone much better than the first though and my daughter is settling in gradually, I am visiting her in Bath tomorrow to help her organise to get her dress altered for the Fresher's Ball. I like the extra layer! I usually wear leggings and a cami to work out but something it is nice to have an extra layer when cooling down or if I have to stop by the store!
