Summer dresses for women over 50 | my favourites from the new Afibel spring/summer collection25/4/2024 In anticipation of spring arriving and summer following soon after (we can live in hope) I have picked five of my favourite dresses from the new spring/summer collection at Afibel. If you have holidays to look forward to or are just excited about finally shedding the layers and lightening up your wardrobe, then take a look at how I am styling these comfortable, flattering and chic summer dresses for women over 50. And remember to use my code MICHELLE40 to get 40% off the two most expensive items in your basket (excluding items already in-offer, valid until 30th June 2024). This is a sponsored blog post. As you know I am a big summer dress fan, I love nothing more than the ease of a dress when the weather is milder. And I love that we no longer have to stress about the right footwear or wear heels with a dress, a white trainer, a ballet pump or a wedge heel are so much more practical and look bang on trend. Add a statement bag or a fun beach bag and some pretty summer jewellery and you are good to go. The styles from Afibel are designed to suit EVERY body, they are feminine, offer a fabulous fit and they know how to flatter your shape. I wear a size 10 and I have been impressed with how every style I put on works on my figure. Maybe my favourite dress from my selection is the EDIFICE a longer length floral dress with crossover neckline and tie waist. This dress is uber flattering, the fabric is soft, has a pretty sheen and drapes over my curves. I think the length is spot on (I am 5'2") and the pink and green pattern also has hints of blue and gold. I picked out the gold with my accessories, adding gold jewellery, gold platform sandals and a gold clutch bag. Really lovely for a summer event! I thought the EXTRA a short button dress in navy was a fantastic easy to wear alternative to shorts for warm summer days and holidays. I love the v-neckline and the rope tie belt and the fact it is easy to pack, no creasing! I'm wearing it with my Adidas Stan Smith trainers, my white sunhat from Creative DeZigns and I love the pop of colour from my beach bag. The ESTELLE is a mid-length crossover dress in shades of green and purple, it has a dropped waist and a tie belt than can be removed easily as there are no belt loops. The wrap is generous with no risk of gaping and it has pretty short sleeves. The midi length is great with my gold wedge sandals. Another navy dress, but I just think navy is such a classic and a softer summer alternative to black, it looks very striking paired with tan and I love the maxi length of this one, the EPERNAY is a long lose plain dress but is anything but plain (it also comes in fuschia) but the button details, the wider kimono sleeves, tie waist and v-neck add enough detail to make this dress really stand out. Another easy to pack style, and perfect for the more changeable British weather! The ELIXIR is a short flared dress in fuschia and pink and with a leafy motif print, it has lovely gold edging on the neckline and is an easy to wear shape, a lovely length for holidays and would work well over swimwear with flip flops. I am wearing it here with my Pia Rossini beach bag and gold sandals from Air & Grace. It was so cold when I tried on these dresses to take photos, I am sure we say every year that spring feels late and we are fed up with the cold but really, it does feel much later this year, or is that just me forgetting? I'm desperate to get my summer wardrobe out properly and can't wait to start wearing my dresses again. If you are keen to get your wardrobe ready for the imminent arrival of spring/summer then don't forget to use my code MICHELLE40 to get 40% off the two most expensive items in your basket (excluding items already in-offer, valid until 30th June 2024). Hi Michelle. You look stunning, as always. I love those dresses, especially the first one and it’s given me ideas of what to wear to a reunion in July. I am having trouble getting rid of the tyre around my middle! This has put me off buying clothes. I know it’s related to menopause but I am going to try and lose the tyre. Thank you also for introducing Fussy deodorant. I am a total convert and friends now too. It really works! I hope you are feeling a lot better now Michelle. 💕

Hi Hons, sorry it has taken me so long to reply to your comment, I have to approve them now (due to spam comments) and I missed this one! I am pleased you like the dress ideas, the first one is my fave too, it is really flattering (even with the tyre that is so stubborn). I hope you enjoy your reunion event! And yes Fussy deodorant is fantastic isn't it!!! I am much better thank you (and will be sharing an update soon). Lots of love Michelle xx
