What to pack for a sunny holiday ... part two

A few top tips for what we need in our suitcases ....

1. Probiotics to protect your tummy from too much rich food and keep your friendly bacteria - my favourites are Bio-Kult available here.  Start taking a couple of weeks before you go.
2. Aloe vera to sooth any sunburn - I like this organic after sun.
3. Plenty of sun lotion and don't forget a good tinted SPF for your face this year I am trying the Advance Anti-Ageing Sun Emulsion from Germaine de Capuccini.
4. Travel sockets - more than you think you need!
5. ​Lots of cool, cotton, summer dresses (see my post here).
6. Bikini's and swimwear (see my post here).
7. Cotton beach cover-ups for throwing on over your bikini.
8. Comfortable footwear (see my post here) and I always take a pair of beach shoes too, okay so not flattering but great if you like to go into the sea!  Take a look at these ones, they are ideal for boat days.
9. Waterproof beach bag to go inside your beach bag!  Sweet Bea have some pretty ones!
10. A scarf for cooler evenings and to wear as a sarong over your bikini, I also use mine to cover up if I am getting a bit sunburnt - Sweet Bea has lots of cotton scarves.
11. ​A sun hat, I favour the men's trilby from Marks & Spencer.
12. Sunglasses, I'd love to be able to still buy designer shades but I now have to have mine with a prescription so I can actually see to read my books!
13. Foot cream, my feet always get dry on holiday, I take the natural balm from Gem's Natural Skincare and it works a treat, also recommend the lip balm too.
14. Collect those little travel size beauty freebies throughout the year, they are great for holiday packing!
15. Extra conditioner for your hair, this year I am trying out the SU Milk from Davines, I am really loving their hair care range which I get from Air the Salon in Marlow.

And my top tip ... get a spray tan or do it yourself at home before you go, I always feel so much better in my bikini if I am not too pasty white when I first strip off!  I use St Moriz mousse and it is still the best one I have come across (despite trying others).

My bikini below was gifted to me from UK Swimwear and my flip flips are the slim fit multi glitter Havaianas from ASOS here and now reduced to £22.00.

I'm taking a bit of blog break for the next month or so, there will be posts but not so many, it is time to get my daughter ready for her next big adventure as she heads off to Norland College to study for an Early Years Degree at the famous college in Bath!  I will be back to tell you how I coped with letting her go and to share a photo of her in her uniform.
