So last week my friend and personal stylist Katerhine B wrote about 'wearing something different'. We are all guilty of wearing the same favourite, safe outfits or saving things for best and then hardly ever wearing them. She challenged her followers to 'wear something different' each day that week. Her thoughts resonated with me and I decided to take up the challenge. So how did I get on? Well I definitely enjoyed the challenge and I upped the effort all week and I felt better for it. Last week I was feeling quite tired after a very late night escorting my daugther and her friends to the O2 to see Justin Bieber. I posted my outfits on my Instagram page so do follow me if you don't already. Here is a little summary of my outfits: Monday we were off to the O2 and it was very cold so I wore my Superdry jumperwhich is very warm with my Hush biker boots and my North Face coat. First outing for this jumper as I originally bought it to go under a tweed jacket then never got around to wearing it as an outfit! Superdry luxe mini cable jumper £44.99 Tuesday after a very late night getting back from the O2 I wanted something comfortable! I wore my teal blue Hobbs tunic style jumper with black leggings from Boden, long black boots and accessorised with a Phase Eight scarf and a braclet that matches the colouring perfectly. All items are past season! Wednesday I did an early morning workout at the gym then came home to change for a hair appointment. It was still very cold but I wasn't spending much time outside as I was going from car to salon! This outfit was very popular on my instagram page and I think it is one to wear again. The over the knees boots are last winter from Vince Camuto at House of Fraser, the coated jeggings are Next, the long coatigan is again past season from Boden and finally my scarf was from the School Gate Style shop (no longer available). Next coated leggings £24 Thursday I was supposed to be doing a workout with my PT but I was exhausted after the late night and Wednesday workout! It was also very cold so I wore my French Connection very chunky knit layered over a lace long sleeve top, my tartan scarf from Sweet Bea, black jeans from Gap and my Hush biker boots. Scarf from Sweat-Bea online shop Silk lace top from Rosemund Friday I was out and about Christmas shopping and missed getting a photo! But on Saturday I wore my pleather trousers from Mint Velvet with my new Jigsaw boots, a Mint Velvet long line cardigan over another Rosemund silk vest and a scarf from Mint Velvet (past season). Mint Velvet pleather trousers (similar here) and long line cardigan (similar here) Rosemund silk vest Jigsaw Adyson Calf Boot £149 And finally Sunday! Off to Westfield again to choose something from Tiffany for my daughter's 16th birthday. I wore my leather skirt from Oasis with my over the knee suede boots, a red jumper from Oasis, a fur gilet from New Look and a cross body bag from Brand Alley. Leather skirt from Oasis £70 Red frill knit from Oasis £28 Black faux fur gilet (similar here) £55 So the challenge has encouraged me to be a bit braver and step out of my comfort zone a bit more often. I received some lovely encouraging comments on Instagram. I buy all these lovely clothes and then doni't wear them which is madness!
