Hello! How are you all? Welcome to September, I am so looking forward to getting back to a normal routine, how about you? I took a bit of an extended break from my blog this summer, I was getting way too overwhelmed and wanted to spend some time with my family especially with my daughter being home from university. Hopefully you have seen a bit of what I have been up to if you follow me on Instagram. We had a lovely 'heatwave' holiday in the Rame Peninsula, South East Cornwall, and we've had some fun days out too. I've also been working hard behind the scenes to organise my blogging admin a bit better, and I have moved my blog office into my log cabin but. more on that soon! This blog post is an update on life 'being fifty and fab' ... I also have some lovely products to share with you, read on for a gorgeous gold necklace layering set from Daisy London, details of a new programme to help us become alcohol free (or cut down), a stylish dress up / dress down / multi season outfit from Saint and Sofia and all the other news from Fifty & Fab HQ! This blog post contains gifted items and affiliate links. Beautiful jewellery from Daisy LondonThis is such a lovely brand and I was so delighted they got in touch with me, I spent ages browsing through their pretty jewellery in their online shop. Daisy London is a British brand known for their everyday jewellery with meaning. They were born 10 years ago in London's Portobello Road and are popular for their wearable, contemporary designs. I especially love their women's necklaces and necklace layering sets. They are designed to be worn together, and you can either purchase as a necklace set or get ideas from their lookbook, their aim is to make everyday styling effortless. Daisy London gifted me two women's necklaces which work beautifully together and complement each other. I am wearing the Isla Mother of Pearl Necklace in 18ct Gold Plate with the Stacked Linked Chain Necklace in 18ct Gold Plate. Wear them together, alone or add more! Daisy London have an extensive range of jewellery including bracelets, earrings, anklets and rings. Above: my dress is the Floral Print Shirt Dress and it is current season from Zara, my boots are also from Zara. My bag is from Russell & Bromley but I purchased it (new with tags) from Vintage & Vogue in Beaconsfield. A day out in BrightonWe took my dad for a birthday outing, drove to Brighton for the day, had a flight on the British Airways i360 and then lunch overlooking the beach at the West Beach Bar and Kitchen. The weather was kind to us and we had loads of fun. Totiuss - a unique 100 day alcohol free journeyI am delighted to have been asked to be involved in sharing details of a new and unique programme to support women who want to change their relationship with alcohol. One of my most popular blog posts (recently updated) is where I talk about Menopause and Alcohol Tolerance, anyone else notice how as we hit this stage in our lives, and find we are less able to cope with alcohol and the associated late nights? Totiuss (pronounced toe-tee-us) comes from the latin word meaning WHOLE. Totiuss want to empower women to feel great and take back control of their health and wellbeing by changing their relationship with alcohol. Rather than it be the go to answer - open a bottle of wine! Do you want to say goodbye to drinking completely or do your drinking habits just need an overhaul along with your mental and physical health? Totiuss have developed a unique 100 day alcohol free guided journey to address our increase in alcohol use. If like me you have a stressful day and reach for a bottle of wine, or feel you need some down time and a glass of rosé is part of that, Totiuss will teach us that there are other ways of getting support! Totiuss provide a supportive community of other women all there to help each other. Totiuss offer a holistic approach of nutrition, fitness, mental health coaching and meditation techniques. There are so many factors that we can use to help us find a healthier, happier lifestyle. And it is even more relevant when we reach peri-menopause age and beyond. Sign up now for the Totiuss programme starting early October 2021. And use my discount code FAB10 to get 10% off! Above: last days of wearing summer dresses I think, although I won't be giving in completely just yet, this Monsoon dress is called Tilly and is from their SEW (eco-friendly) summer range. It was a joy to wear! And my favourite summer hat, the Gilly from Creative DeZigns. My blogging office in my log cabinWhen I am in my log cabin office I can focus on blog work. When I am in my house, I can focus on home and family. That's the plan anyway but so far so good and I love the feeling of being outside when I sit overlooking my garden with my desk facing the window. I am planning a separate blog post to tell you more about my decision and how my life coach, Sian. helped me organise myself! Greenwich Dress from Saint and SofiaI have been lucky enough to be gifted some outfits from sustainable brand Saint and Sofia recently and I have to say I am very impressed with everything I have been sent ... below I am wearing the Greenwich Dress in Black Jersey. It is so soft and comfortable and ideal for cooler days as we head into autumn. Check out their new colour, the Greenwich Dress in Blue Leopard from Saint and Sofia. Here I am wearing it for a warmer day with sandals but I have also shown you how I have styled it for a cooler day with white trainers and the Soho Crop Cardigan in Beige also from Saint and Sofia. My daughter has her eye on this cardigan too! It is a very soft organic cotton and comes in black, lime and mauve too. The Saint and Sofia Greenwich dress also comes in lots of different colours. Earrings from Wooden ElementAnother small brand to get in touch with me recently was Wooden Element who make earrings from up-cycled wood and resin. This female owned business is both sustainable and eco friendly. They have a beautiful selection of earrings in pretty colours, perfect for gifting or spoiling yourself, and they are kind to the purse and the planet. I am wearing the Maui here in ocean blue, a pretty boho chic style drop earring. Hanako Florist & Champagne BarMy daughter and I had a lovely afternoon in Berkhamsted recently - combining flowers and champagne, what's not to love? I was invited to the opening of Hanako Flowers where we enjoyed afternoon tea and watched their florist create an amazing bouquet while we sipped fizz and browsed their flower menu. And we both got to take home a bouquet each. Do have a look at Hanako Flowers online, subscription packages are available and they will be running some excellent workshops for you to enjoy with your girlfriends! Levitex Sleep PillowDid you see my Instagram post and then Instagram Live with Levitex? Levitex asked if I'd like to try out their foam sleep pillow and when it arrived, I do admit to being a bit apprehensive, it wasn't soft and squidgy! But I am surprised at how well I got on with it and how much benefit it has given my sleep. Their foam pillows are designed to optimise your sleep posture and benefits include reducing neck and back pain, improving digestion and circulation, boosting energy levels, and improving sleep quality., no way I am parting with it now! There is 10% off with my code fiftyandfab10. I have so many blog posts to catch up on! So many lovely things to share with you! Don't miss my discount page - I have discounts for quite a few of the products I recommend on my blog or instagram. What have you been up to over the summer? Did you get away on holiday? Have you been juggling work and kids at home? Love from Michelle xx Disclaimer: this post contains gifted items from Saint and Sofia, Levitex, Totiuus, Wooden Element, Hanako, and Daisy London and affiliate links are used.
