OiaSkin | Silicone wrinkle patches and anti ageing products at home

I've tried a few anti ageing salon treatments in the past (and written about them), but it is not something I especially worry over.  I suppose I am quite lucky to look younger, however a bit of help with our skin can't go amiss!  I was contacted by OiaSkin to ask if I'd like to try out their silicone anti wrinkle patches and do a video review - I agreed - then stressed!  I am not keen on video but with the help of my son and a big dose of confidence I did it and it is now on my Instagram IGTV.  But for those of you who prefer to read rather than watch, I thought I'd share the details on my blog too.

OiaSkin specialise in anti ageing products to use at home.  The silicone wrinkle patches are re-usable up to about 15 times making them a cost effective option.  They are easy to use, give instant results, are a safe alternative to botox and they hydrate your skin and smooth wrinkles.  

I chose to apply the patches and leave them for the minimum hour, for best results, try overnight

The pack I was sent treats forehead, eyes, smile, neck and chest and comes with full instructions and two plastic sheets to store the patches so they can be reused.

It is important to thoroughly clean and dry your skin first.

They are easy to apply, follow the diagrams provided, and press gently onto your skin.

They feel light and comfortable and I wasn't bothered by them being there.  You need to leave them on for a minimum of an hour - or overnight for maximum results.  I chose an hour as this was the best plan for being able to record my video.  I was worried I wouldn't sleep wearing them but in fact I think they would be comfortable and not feel too restrictive.  I will try!

After you have left them to work their magic, peel them off gently and you can see and feel instant results.  

They are a bit fiddly to start with but only while you get used to how to apply and use them.

After use, simply rinse them with water, leave to air dry, stick them to the plastic sheet provided then pop back in the resealable bag they came in.

My skin felt instantly soft, plumped and hydrated.

I would recommend using them once a week to get the full benefit.  I think overnight is a good choice and as they felt comfortable on, I don't think they would be too annoying - you'd still get your beauty sleep!  Or for an instant boost use before a night out or a special occasion (when we are out out again).

The most noticeable difference was around my 'smile' area, I could see the immediate plumping effect!

But even on my more lined area, my forehead, I could see a subtle difference after just one treatment.

My skin felt lovely, I then put a light make up on and took a few photos to share!

After using the Oia anti wrinkle patches, I left them on for just over an hour

The patches form a microclimate between the patch and your skin, creating an occlusion effect which minimises water loss, so moisture in your skin helps the skins outermost layer to build a barrier against any harmful effects.  The increase in hydration reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.  It also works by increasing the skins surface temperature, which increases blood flow and helps your skin look and feel more healthy!
