We spent a week in St Anton skiing last week. It was very hot, too hot really; I started the week with all my layers on and ended up with just a t-shirt and ski jacket by the end of the week. But of course the blue sky and sun make the slopes and villages in Austria so pretty and beautiful to spend time in.
My skiing wasn't great this holiday and that upset me a bit, to be honest I think I was tired before I went and I should have been more honest with myself and rested at the beginning, as it was I didn't take a full day off until the Thursday. The children though came on in leaps and bounds! All I kept hearing was ‘Come on Mum, you can do it, go a bit faster’!
I loved my new red ski jacket by Spyder from Turners in Marlow. I travelled out wearing it over black jeans and a black and white Breton from Zara, which I have now washed and discovered that it doesn't need any ironing so I can really recommend it, I can’t find it on-line but I will post a better photo of it onto my Instagram account – so do use this link to go and take a look!
I hope you enjoy the round-up of photos from my week. We found a restaurant in St Christoph (Hospiz Alm) that had a slide to take you down to the toilets on the ground floor, this was so much fun! Anyone who skis will know that going downstairs in ski boots can be a bit of a challenge so to whizz down on a slide (adults and kids alike) was bliss!
So now I’m back and currently knee deep in washing and ironing but I am hoping we will get some proper spring weather soon and I can start planning a wardrobe clear out and update!
