We have just had a wonderful fun day out with our friends at Ascot Racecourse for the horse racing! And I got to wear my new Felicity Dress from At Last ... I have never been to Ascot before, well not properly anyway, I did go to a corporate event for Royal Ascot about 25 years ago! Not sure I actually saw any horse racing that day! At Last kindly gifted me the Felicity Dress a few weeks ago so when the Ascot Racing Day invitation arrived, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to wear this amazingly flattering dress. It is such a versatile style, here I have dressed it up but equally it can be worn dressed down, and At Last have a vast selection of different colours, styles and patterns to choose from! The Felicity Dress from At Last is one of their best selling shapes. It is designed to flatter and is made from a gorgeous light silky feel fabric (artificial silk or art silk) it feels so luxurious. The V neck with the frill all the way down the front is super feminine and the cut is designed to emphasise our feminine curves. It is a midi length with pretty 3/4 length bell sleeves and a concealed zip. The frill at the front combined with the frilled hem and sleeve detail really add to this fun and flattering style. I love how the frill can disguise a tummy! I am wearing the Felicity Dress in the Mulberry Swirl fabric but it comes in a huge selection of different combinations. At Last make their dresses in sizes from an 8 to a 20 and I am wearing a 10, it is true to size and a perfect fit on me. I felt amazing in it, it is so soft, comfortable, flattering, easy to wear and glamorous! And it doesn't crease! I hate buying a dress, then when I get out of the car, realising I look completely crushed! This is a gifted blog post. At Last BoutiqueAt Last was established in 2003 by Annabel Drabble, and has become a leading name in the South of England for it's beautiful dresses, clothing and accessories. Annabel has created a range of dresses that are designed to flatter all figures and all ages. Her focus is on giving everyone a waist and a feminine shape by cutting her designs to skim the body and flatter every woman. At Last's winter collection features rich velvets and silks in a stunning selection of colours and during the summer, At Last have a beautiful, cool range of dresses using hand-blocked printed cotton. At Last have a boutique in Hampshire you can visit or you can also browse their extensive collection online. As well as their vast range of flattering dresses, they also have a collection of trousers, knitwear, blouses and accessories. What to wear to a Ascot in winterI wore the Felicity Dress in Mulberry Swirl with my faux fur jacket from Mango (previous season) and my burgundy long boots from River Island (previous season). I added a tan cross body bag from Spirit & Grace Style and accessorised with my gold layered necklace from Daisy London. It was the perfect outfit for a perfect day at Ascot! We started the day at 9 am when a chauffeur driven car picked us up from home to take us to meet our friends for brunch and bucks fizz at The Royal Forresters near Ascot. We then arrived at Ascot racecourse at about 11.45 - just before HRH The Duchess of Cornwall and we were lucky enough to get a fantastic view of Camilla arriving before heading to the bar to order champagne! A fun day out with friendsI was given a quick lesson on how to bet! But I won absolutely nothing! Our friend on the other hand won 4 out of the 7 races that day. Just by choosing the names she liked! Our tickets gave us access to the King Edward VII Enclosure which meant we could watch the racing from the grandstand with a fantastic view of the entire racecourse and be in the warm between races. Although we were very lucky with the weather and it wasn't cold at all. I don't like too many layers, so I choose not to wear tights but I do wear the Cool Comfort Full Slip from Marks & Spencer which gives me a warmer layer without overheating! When I go to an event, especially something unfamiliar, I always worry about what to wear but it did seem that there was no real dress code for winter racing at Ascot, pretty much anything was acceptable. Most women were in dresses and coats or quite a few were in more traditional country attire, I loved the wonderful Felt Fedora Hats with the feathers! Now on my wish list! Flattering dresses with sleevesDo take a closer look the At Last range of glamorous dresses - they have some gorgeous velvet styles for the Christmas party season. I felt amazing in my dress and received some lovely compliments! If you are searching for a comfortable but stylish dress, that flatters and skims, with sleeves and tummy hiding powers then At Last may just have the solution! And if you live close enough then I can thoroughly recommend a day at Ascot for the horse racing - or why not book a night away!? Love from Michelle xx Disclaimer: At Last gifted me the Felicity Dress in Mulberry Swirl, I was under no obligation to share a review and all words and opinions are my own.
