I've not done a style post for ages! But as we tentatively start moving from the coldest months of winter and into early spring, how lovely it is to have a little wardrobe refresh. I am not a fan of winter dressing, I feel too trussed up with layers and too restrained. I love floaty summer dresses, I love to cast off the layers and be able to wear lighter knits. Give me sunshine, alfresco lunches and a nice glass of wine and I'm happy. I was excited to see the new colours and styles arriving on the Creative DeZigns website, and Nicki sent me a few bits to try out, the two outfits I am sharing today, definitely tick the box of winter into spring .... First of all, what to wear now! I am not a fan of a high neck in knitwear nowadays, despite HRT controlling hot flushes, I still feel too claustrophobic and restricted. Love the look, just can't wear them! So I love the idea of a jumper with a matching snood! This is the Bonnie Organic Cotton Neck Snood in Graphite Marl with the Lola Cotton Jumper also in Graphite Marl. It is 100% organic cotton, with a flattering scoop neck and a scooped hem. It is a longer, slimmer fit, with ribbing on the body and is incredibly soft and cosy, cotton is cooler in the summer and warm in the winter. The snood can be worn to match or contrast any jumper, but it gives you the option to remove it if you overheat! My second outfit from Creative DeZigns is a lighter cotton knit, still warm but I will look forward to wearing this as spring approaches. I am wearing the Tamara Organic Cotton Jumper in Soft Denim with an Arm Knitted Cotton Snood. The style is more relaxed with a dolman sleeve and ribbed cuffs, I love this colour, it will look just as good with white denim as it does with indigo denim. The arm knitted snoods are all individual, handmade in South Africa from soft cotton and add a stylish detail to your outfit without the bulk. I have styled it here with a long silver necklace and jeans. Do take a look at the new in section of the Creative DeZigns website, they have some beautiful colours and styles. I have just spotted a bright red arm knitted snood, a fedora hat in this beautiful blue shade and I love the jewellery, so much choice! My silver cross body bag is from Amelia Rose Accessories and my new strap was a Christmas gift from my sister. My gloves are from Powder at The Wendy House. The necklace is from a selection at Mooch in Marlow. And a quick note about my jeans - I prefer jeans in indigo denim but I find it hard to get a decent pair - but these ones from Hobbs are fabulous, I am so pleased with them. They are the Gia sculpting jeans and are available in regular and petite length which is always a win as I don't need to get them shortened! What are your weekend plans? Nothing much different from every other day I suspect, I will be doing a bit more wardrobe sorting later on, my daughter has asked me to help her as well! Then we have afternoon tea being delivered from Strawberry Grove and a virtual family quiz later on before settling down with another episode or two of Bridgerton! I'm in a roll neck today, and love them. Although when I'm cooking the dinner it might be a different story! What pretty tops and the ideas are perfect for the season. Have a super week Michelle. x
