Sophie Fois is an extremely talented young contemporary artist based in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside.  I will admit to knowing nothing about art although I think the best way to choose art for most of us is because we just love it!  And I love Sophie's work.  I also love her studio in the village of Turville, it is just behind the Bull & Butcher Pub, take a drive through the country lanes, have a walk up to the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Windmill or around the village where the Vicar of Dibley was filmed, have lunch at the pub and visit Sophie in her studio.

Sophie was born in this beautiful Oxfordshire village, grew up here and still keeps her studio based here.  Having grown up surrounded by the rural countryside combined with her love for animals Sophie is passionate about immortalising them through her work.

Sophie's work is predominately commission based and her pastel pencil realism art is extremely sought after.  But she also has her own contemporary style work and she sells both Originals and Limited Edition Prints which can be viewed and purchased in her studio or purchased online via her website.

Sophie studied art through school, college and university where she graduated with a 1st Class Honours Degree.  After leaving university she has grown her business and 'Sophie Fois Artwork' has gained a large following throughout the UK and worldwide.

I have had the pleasure of visiting Sophie in her studio and I am totally in awe of her artwork, the detail is outstanding and one day I hope to own one of her Originals if I am lucky!  Wandering around her studio in this peaceful village is a real treat and if you get the opportunity to visit then it is worth a drive as it does make a very special day out.

the windmill at turville used in film chitty chitty bang bang
A visit to Turville makes a lovely day out - you can walk around the village and the surrounding countryside, a walk up to the windmill used in the original Chitty Chitty Bang Bang film is not for the faint hearted, it is very steep or just enjoy the view from the pub garden!

Love from
