How are you feeling? The pandemic and endless lockdowns have really added to our feelings of isolation and affected our mood, even if you have never suffered with depression in the past. Our mental. health is exactly the same as our physical health and it needs to be nurtured and cared for too. Mental health includes emotional, psychological and social well-being and it affects how we think, feel and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others and make choices. We all have times when we feel down, upset, stressed. Mostly those feelings disappear but sometimes they develop into a more serious worry and we need a bit of help. We are all different, some people bounce back, others feel weighed down for longer and withdraw from daily life and feel unable to communicate. You should never be ashamed if you are finding it difficult to cope, to talk and ask for help. I am no stranger to my own mental health worries. From suffering from a phobia to the more recent anxiety associated with peri menopause. I have written about it on my blog and I will share these posts at the bottom of this post.

Firstly, I am really flattered and excited to have been asked to be involved in the Hotter campaign promoting comfort, not only in our choice of footwear but with who we are. My focus for my blog has always been about what I am doing, what works for me and sharing that inspiration with my readers. If I like it, you might too, that is my philosophy and how I choose what I share on Fifty & Fab. And I love stylish but comfortable feet! And Hotter are a brand that I feel are getting that right, with 40 fitting and size combinations to give us the perfect fit, as well as upping their design game to create shoes we want to wear.
According to Hotter's research, us self-conscious Brits finally stop worrying about what other people think of them at age 46! Hotter want to inspire women to get comfortable with their new campaign. When you feel comfortable, you can achieve anything! What would you say to your younger self? This post is part of a paid partnership with Hotter. Guest post from Dragonfly CBD. My blog post today is a guest article written by Dragonfly CBD. They got in touch and asked if I would like to try out some CBD Oil and I thought it was a perfect opportunity to find out more about it and to ask if taking CBD Oil can be a helpful way to manage some of our menopause symptoms.
I wish it would warm up! Anyone else fed up with feeling cold, I am desperate to get my lighter clothes and dresses out now! I know it is still early and last year was an exceptional spring but with all the having to eat outside thing, I'd really like some improvement! Have you been out yet? We managed to get lunch out a couple of weeks ago, booked well in advance though!
My big achievement this month was raising £265 for my friend's daughter - you can read all about why on my blog post Jessica's story and her fight for a life | and homemade fudge thank you so much to everyone who ordered fudge or donated to my fundraising efforts. I hope it arrived and you enjoyed! My daughter was in charge of packaging and post office and her housemate Kiera made the fudge as part of her Fudge4Charity initiative. A message from Kiera ... ‘I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone single one of you who bought fudge, and to those who didn’t buy fudge but still donated to Jessica’s fund. I started my venture, Fudge4Charity, to give something back to the community and without you guys it wouldn’t be possible so thank you again very much’.' Love Kiera xx Kiera and my daughter Emily are both students at Norland College in Bath. |
