Is it hard to clean Invictus vinyl flooring?

13/7/2022

Collaborative Post | If you have invested in luxury vinyl flooring for your home, then you know that you have already saved money in your home budget. You no doubt decided on it because of its long lifespan as well as its great look, but how do you keep it clean without damaging your warranty?

Is it hard to keep clean your Invictus vinyl flooring?

Supporting Choice

Make no mistake about it - you made a great choice in Invictus and the hardest decision was probably in the range you chose.

You have no doubt been sold on the fact that this product can last upwards of thirty years if cared for properly, and that is true. Whilst many people have extreme accidents that can result in needing small sections to be replaced, it can be done without disrupting the entire floor and quite cheaply by just replacing the individual piece.

Certainly much easier than other floorings out there like real hardwood or stone. Your luxury vinyl flooring is built to last, so don’t feel the need to replace and waste a great product at the first sign of trouble.

Cautionary steps

Before you go thinking it's a self-care product, there are still elements of care that need to be taken to keep it looking how it should.

To preserve the look and feel of your investment in Invictus flooring, semi-regular maintenance is required, more centred around the amount of traffic it will endure as well as the colour and type you have gone with. By simply sweeping the floor with a soft, non-brittle brush or dust mop, you can clean the entrances to avoid dirt being walked through to other parts of the house.

A non-abrasive floor cleaner diluted with water and a soft mop will easily bring the floor back to its out-of-the-box look even after the worst weather challenges it. Remember to not leave any water spots or puddles on the surface. Even Invictus’ water resistance can be tested by leaving water on the surface for too long.

Warning signs

Common sense when caring for your luxury vinyl flooring backs up most of the guidelines you receive, but there are factors to take seriously to ensure your floor stays the way it should for its expected lifespan.

Refrain from the use of aerosol sprays or products that are silicone-based being applied to your vinyl, as these will overcoat the anti-slip design the planks and tiles have and make the top layer at risk of slip. Use matting at any entrances to reduce any water, dirt or debris reaching your floor - and be sure that this matting is not using rubber underneath.

Rubber tends to mark vinyl flooring so it should be avoided. This includes rubber points on the soles of furniture to reduce the possibility of scratching. In these instances, choose felt pads on your furniture instead.

Whilst a cost-effective alternative to the real thing, Invictus, such as grey parquet flooring, still requires the care and attention to keep it worth the investment, no matter which ranges you choose.

Distinctive is strong vinyl consideration

13/7/2022

Collaborative Post | All types of flooring options can call themselves the best, but many don’t put themselves into the competition to prove they are the most popular, flexible and practical flooring option available.

If they did, Distinctive vinyl flooring would probably win each time. Backed up by years of performance over leading carpet and laminate brands, it has a strongly enforced warranty that outshines everyone else as proof of its quality and long-lasting lifespan.

Appearance

In previous decades, most luxury vinyl products faced criticism for having an unnatural look and flimsy feel.

Over the last few decades, manufacturers have dedicated extensive research into materials to rectify not only their appearance and texture but also their durability over all competition. Whilst it is low cost, Distinctive developed products that are unbeatable in replicating the visual appearance of materials such as stone and wood whilst also defending against the things that typically ruin them.

Cost

Luxury vinyl flooring is a low-cost solution to fit those with tighter budgets. Although company brands may play a huge part in people's influence when it comes to fitting out their homes with vinyl, Distinctive flooring is a brand that offers an assurance of unmatched quality.

With the time taken in achieving breakthroughs in the manufacturing process, the materials are cheaper at a fraction of the cost of hardwood and the installation process is quite simple. Although a professional is required in some instances, it is an easy enough exercise to undertake yourself should you choose.

Lifespan

With luxury vinyl being created using pressed wood, all individual planks or tiles offer much more durability and stronger resistance to scratches, dampness and abrasion over real hardwood or stone.

Luxury vinyl flooring is a very easy product to maintain and keep clean. Simple household cleaning products like a mop and warm soapy water can be used to keep it looking as if it came straight from the box years onwards and with stain resistance at its core, you can be sure no lasting marks will remain after a simple wipe.

Design

Among the core advantages, luxury vinyl flooring tiles offer vast designs that continue to grow year on year through many different suppliers.

From natural and obscure colours to straight and abstract laying styles, Distinctive vinyl has something for everyone's taste. This is ideal for people who are budget conscious and stuck for a simple style when it comes to their home.

For look, quality and savings, luxury vinyl flooring, such as grey oak flooring, provides the perfect choice for your tastes.
