I had the pleasure of meeting Andrea at an event nearly two years ago and loved her warmth, kindness, and genuine passion for her skincare brand. Andrea kindly gifted me the Desavery Garrigue Body Oil, and I really love its beautiful aroma and luxurious fee - it’s like a spa day in a bottle!

In a recent chat, Andrea shared the inspiration behind Garrigue Body Oil. Desavery was already well-known for its skincare oils, but on a trip to the South of France, Andrea was struck by the calming, joyful feeling of being surrounded by the region’s fragrant plants. Inspired, she wanted to 'bottle the scent' and replicate that feeling of calm, after more research she was able to blend the wild plants native to Provence and Garrigue Body Oil was created.

At the heart of Garrigue is fig seed oil from the sun-soaked hills of Provence, rich in natural Omega 3, 6, and 9, delivering deep nourishment and hydration to the skin. This oil contains natural magnesium, which, when applied to the skin, is known to promote relaxation and restful sleep - one of the reasons I love using it at night! The addition of camellia seed oil elevates this formula into the realm of premium skincare.

Unlike many body oils that can leave a greasy residue, Garrigues unique fig seed oil base absorbs beautifully, providing intense moisture without any lingering heaviness. Added rice bran oil helps even skin tone and enhances moisture retention, while juniper and cypress oils, with their antifungal properties, condition and soothe the skin.

Applying Garrigue Body Oil every evening after my bath has become my favorite indulgence, a true self-care ritual!

Natural skincare from Desavery

Simple skincare routine with Desavery

I’ve been using two of Desavery's hero products, and they've quickly become essentials in my routine. First up is the Smooth Hyaluronic Acid Serum. I apply this to freshly cleansed, slightly damp skin, and it feels like an instant boost of hydration. Smooth contains a therapeutic, gentle hyaluronic acid that plumps, hydrates, and enhances skin’s natural glow - perfect even for very sensitive skin.

Hyaluronic acid binds moisture to the skin, making it especially effective at softening fine lines and promoting a smooth, radiant complexion. The effects last around eight hours, so while I've been enjoying it in the evening as part of my wind-down ritual, I’m now convinced it deserves a place in my morning routine for a fresh, dewy start to the day!

Andrea recommends applying 2–3 drops of Smooth to damp skin, allowing it to absorb before layering a facial oil or moisturiser on top. It’s gentle enough to use around the eye area (patch-test first) and works wonders for fine lines. It’s ideal for a morning glow boost, but also perfect at night for a hydration surge.

Next is the Lit! Daily Serum, which I use right after Smooth. This serum absorbs beautifully with no oily residue, and the scent is both soothing and energising. The ingredients are chosen to support focus and mental clarity when inhale - a lovely touch to start or end the day. Packed with prickly pear seed oil for collagen support, Vitamin K to brighten the skin (especially around the eyes), and antioxidant-rich Vitamin E for overall skin health, Lit! is a true multitasker. It sinks in without clogging pores or feeling heavy, making it perfect for nighttime rejuvenation, but I also recommend its uplifting aroma in the morning as a mood booster.

These two products have quickly become staples for me. They really do absorb beautifully, leaving no residue, and my skin feels deeply hydrated, balanced, and ready for the day - or night. I’ve been using them primarily in the evening, but I’m excited to try them in the morning too, as they’re a perfect base for makeup. The aromas from both the facial oils and the body oil are genuinely mood-boosting, adding a sense of calm and wellbeing to my routine.
