Hi, how are you all? I have another fabulous styling post for you - I'm sharing these gorgeous foldable ballet flats from Tieks! I’m not a big fan of slippers – there, I’ve said it! Let me explain. I like to feel put-together at home: every day I shower, style my hair, choose a nice outfit, and apply my makeup before starting my day. Because I work from home and often have friends or family dropping by, fluffy slippers just don’t fit the look. Slipping into a soft, foldable pair of ballet flats, like my Tieks, feels comfortable yet polished, the perfect in-between of style and ease. And another bonus, they are not heavy so easy to wear all day and don't make indentations on the carpet like many shoes can. And if you are on Instagram, you will soon see all the big influencers sharing their Christmas Day outfit ideas - and if you believe them, then they are all wearing sequins and heels. When I am at home cooking Christmas lunch then I am not teetering around in heels - a pair of pretty (and a little bit glam) ballet flats will be just perfect! This is a gifted blog post. Ballet flats work for everyday lifeWhat I love about ballet flats, especially my foldable Tieks, is how versatile they are. They’re soft, supportive, and smart enough to wear around the house, yet stylish enough if we have guests, unexpected or planned or if I need to pop out to run a quick errand (strictly on mild days). But they're also ideal for slipping into a handbag when going out in heels, I rarely manage a whole day in a heel now. But for a party, wedding or an event like Ascot, when you've had enough of heels or your feet are sore, then just pop them on to dance or travel home. They take up hardly any space in a bag and Tieks provide a little bag, especially for this purpose - they are easy to pack into a suitcase for holidays too! If you are visiting friends or family, wear or pack them instead of slippers. They’re practical, polished, and easy to wear, ideal for feeling comfortable but still looking 'put together'. Equally, there are no rules about where to wear them, I will often wear my ballet flats in the spring and early autumn before we move to sandals or heavy boots. Incredible styles and colours from TieksTieks are the most versatile flats in the world. Made of the finest Italian leathers and wearable all day, every day, they come in an incredible range of styles, finishes and colours. Prints, patents, classic leather and vegan leather, they also come in girls sizes too. I am wearing the Ruby Red Patent which really are a statement style! The deep burgundy colour is bang on trend, and they really do make an ordinary outfit into something special. They are made from 100% premium, soft, patent full grain leather with their statement non-skid rubber soles and cushioned instep. The soles are designed in Tieks signature Tiek blue colour and offer traction and shock absorption and the brown leather insole is treated so it is both flexible and durable which means they can be folded and unfolded repeatedly without damage. Tieks come in US sizes - so if like me you are in the UK - make sure you check their size chart. I am wearing a size 7 (US) which is a 4.5 (UK) and the fit is perfect. I am usually a size 4 although will often buy a 5 in boots to allow for thicker socks. Tieks come in the most beautiful gift box - ideal if you want to treat someone! Mine is from their Halloween special edition! How I'm styling my TieksFor my blog post, I'm wearing my Ruby Red Tieks with a pair of black wide leg trousers from Marks & Spencer and a burgundy red merino wool knit from Uniqlo, my animal print belt is very old, its from Boden. Ballet pumps really are one of those timeless shoes that work with almost anything. I love wearing mine with wide-leg trousers for an elegant, pulled-together look, but they pair just as effortlessly with jeans, especially a cropped or straight-leg style that shows a little ankle. For summer, they look lovely with midi or shirt dresses, and even with a floaty skirt and simple tee for a relaxed, French-inspired vibe. The beauty of ballet flats is their versatility: you can dress them up or down, and they always add that touch of understated polish. I’ve had my Tieks for a few weeks now and I am loving.them. They’re one of those small investment buys that genuinely make a difference to how I feel day-to-day, comfortable, confident, and smarter when I'm 'just at home'. The quality really is incredible, they are super padded and soft to wear!
Whether you’re working from home, entertaining guests, or slipping off your heels at the end of a night out, foldable ballet flats like these are the perfect blend of comfort and style. Let me know, do you wear ballet flats? Love from Michelle xx Disclaimer: this is a gifted blog post.
